In this article, we want to introduce Lisa Emvula, our WordPress Migration and Support Specialist. When Lisa joined our agency in December 2022, we asked her a few questions to get to know her a little better.
Lisa lives in a settlement near Windhoek, Namibia.
How would you describe yourself?
I am a very curious person.
I love learning new things that challenge me and pushing myself to the limit.
How do you spend your spare time?
I enjoy learning programming, reading, running, doing yoga and playing games.
What is important to you?
My family and always doing the best I can for the people around me.
A little story from Lisa
After I finished school, I went to live in Tanzania for a year as a volunteer.
Adapting to new environments, learning new languages, and getting to know people from different cultures have excited me ever since and have become part of who I am.
Lisa’s way to Syde
I studied Political Science for my bachelor’s and did an interdisciplinary master’s focusing on Economics.
I like working with websites because it allows me to use my creativity while being technically challenging at the same time.
I was impressed by the trust in employees and the opportunity to work remotely and independently and learn and grow within the company.
What do you especially like about your job?
I am looking forward to working with a great team of talented people and learning a lot.

“The only person you should compare yourself to is yourself from yesterday,” my husband.

The friendly people.

Reddit.
What is the best meal you can cook on your own?
I make a really special Lasagna.
