A week could hardly be more polarizing. Inpsyde CIO Robert Windisch was on the road for us and moved between two worlds: The online marketing fair DMEXCO and the WordCamp Zurich. There could hardly be more different people to talk to, and yet everything revolved around one thing: WordPress.
DMEXCO 2019
Vibrant, colorful and loud. That’s how the DMEXCO 2019 was which opened its doors again this year from 11th to 12th September in the Koelnmesse. Two days of inspiration for your business was the motto and it was easy to see who the Digital Marketing Exposition addressed: Marketers, decision-makers and those who want to become one. Almost 40,000 visitors traveled to Cologne for this event and the exhibitors, as usual, went to great lengths to enthuse their passing public:
Inpsyde was once again represented at this year’s DMEXCO by our CIO. For years Robert Windisch has been taking part in this event, always with his hat as a trademark. That’s why many visitors know him there. As always at such events, our partners are also present with their own stands.
”It is always an experience. I have visited many stands and had interesting conversations with PayPal on our cooperation for the WooCommerce plugin PayPal Plus. With the Mollie employees, I talked about the possibilities of the WooCommerce market and improvements in the on-boarding of new shops.” – Robert Windisch, CIO of Inpsyde
Networking is a top priority at DMEXCO. The fair is an ideal place to make new contacts. You can exchange ideas and meet potential new partners for cooperation. The WordPress topic is also becoming more and more important in business and marketing. Enterprise websites, online shops and communication platforms. One-third of all websites worldwide rely on WordPress.
And not without reason! WordPress has many advantages for websites in the enterprise sector. Interested? Read more: WordPress Gutenberg – The perfect Enterprise CMS
WordCamp Zurich 2019
Afterward, it was time to visit WordCamp Zurich. There are such camps worldwide. This is where the WordPress community meets for direct collaboration and to discuss trendsetting topics from the WordPress world.
WordCamps are a good opportunity for us to talk directly to others about things that would otherwise be neglected in online meetings.
Robert Windisch
On the day of the WordCamp, participants from the WordPress community gave talks on a variety of topics, including multilingualism, content creation, and marketing.
Robert shared in his talk the experiences of Inpsyde as an operator of WordPress plugin shops like multilingualpress.org. He talked about the development of the multilingual plugin and the things we have learned from it.
This wasn’t about source code, but about why we made which decision in the project. For example, how and where we offer our product.
Robert Windisch
There are many projects in the WordPress community that aim to improve and extend the CMS. Therefore, there is always a lot to talk about at WordCamps.
”For us, it is clear that WordCamps are an integral part of the exchange of people in the community. So to speak, they are the heart for bringing different people together and improving communication. After all, thousands of people work every day to make WordPress a little bit better than it was yesterday. These events and the participation in them are therefore of great priority for all of us who help to shape WordPress.”
