In this article, we want to introduce Yeremi Loli, our WordPress Developer. When Yeremi joined our agency as a WordPress Engineer in August 2021, we asked him a few questions to get to know him a little better.
This is Yeremi Loli
Yeremi lives in Florianópolis, Brazil.
How would you describe yourself?
I like to describe myself as a simple, calm, and objective person who appreciates quiet places. I’m sure that some challenges in my adolescence contributed to seeing problems as opportunities and reinventing my way of thinking. In addition, my desire to be better each day has been nurtured from an early age.
Right now, my greatest incentive and motivation are the opportunity to watch my children grow up. It is very rewarding. As time goes by quickly, there is always a time that I miss.
How do you spend your spare time?
I like to spend my leisure time resting. That’s why I enjoy a good nap during the day and find it refreshing. I am also fond of going for a walk on the beach with my family. We live on an island and are surrounded by water. It’s just wonderful to enjoy the sand, to breathe the sea air, and to look out over the water.
Where I live in Brazil, one does not initially assume that we have 4 seasons. It gets pretty cold but also very hot. In the fall, the leaves of the trees also change color, so we like to be outside and enjoy the beautiful sight.
What is important to you?
It is important to me to see my family happy. We’ve made something of a family tradition out of baking pizza together on Sundays. Each of us has our task, and it’s great fun for all of us. Cooking together connects us even more as a family.
We also enjoy lying comfortably in bed on Sundays and watching films. Family and coherence play an essential role for us. Just doing something together makes us very happy.
Can you tell a little story which desribes best who you are?
Of course, I like stories from my childhood. I always remember with great affection the moments I spent with my parents.
When I was a child, my father was the technical director of a football team for children and young people. He took me whenever possible, and it was cool to hear him shouting my name and asking me to run. I’m sure I ran anywhere because I didn’t understand what it was about, but the fact is, I had a lot of fun.
I also loved it when I went shopping with my mother because in the middle of shopping we stopped to eat some typical Peruvian delicacies. It was kind of our ritual while shopping.
I remember this as if it were yesterday. These are fond memories/stories which describe who I am.
Yeremi’s way to Syde
My father always took me to the engineering, electrical, or electronics courses that he was studying. He has encouraged me to take his computer courses since I was a child. I was shaped by the computer at home, which booted up with an 8” floppy disk.
When I left school, we had some difficulties. So I started investing in myself by taking some web courses. I was studying Macromedia Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash at the time. Then I began studying independently. So everything I learned today is thanks to the time I spent studying, researching, and making mistakes. I’ve been right or wrong many times. You can say that I am self-taught, like to program, and appreciate working together with great people.
I like the company’s values. Syde is a well-established company with an innovative vision. Therefore, it is not only an interesting place to work but also a big step towards a real partnership. I think it’s great to have found a place with values similar to mine. So the company suits me very well.
At the moment, everything is pretty new to me. That’s why I am still looking over the shoulders of my colleagues. I am very grateful for that, as they also provided me with the necessary insight and welcomed me into the team very cordially. With my proactive, helpful, and curious nature, I am a good fit for Syde. There will always be new things to learn from which I can grow.
